Dr. Gennadiy Itov

I got my degrees in Electrochemistry at the Russian University of Chemical Technology in Moscow. My academic studies were focused on electroorganic synthesis, specifically on electroreduction of nitro- and chlorine-organic compounds. I gained industrial experience working for various chemical producers, such as Gelest and Air Liquide, in the United States. My area of expertise includes synthesis of organic, inorganic, elementorganic, and isotopically-enriched compounds, handling gases, pyrophoric and unstable materials. Some of my work is reflected in 8 peer-reviewed papers and 11 patents.
I joined Technion in 2024 to support research in the groups of Professors David Eisenberg and Charlotte Vogt. At Prof. Eisenberg’s lab, my research is aimed at better understanding the chemical and electrochemical behavior of N-containing species and developing analytical methods for each specific system.
In my leisure, I like spending time traveling with my family.
